BAC Final Update for 2020
Dear Bellville Athletic Club member, What a year we have all been through! When 2020 started, I do not think that any of us expected it to turn out the way it has! The club had to close for 7 months, we had no races since March, and it seems this may continue for some time. Our Dan Luyt 15km race is scheduled for Valentine’s Day 14 February 2021 but at this time we do not think the race will happen. We may be allowed to host the race but with the current restriction on the number of runners allowed, it will not be financially viable for us to host the race. Of course, there is still the general high risk of having so many people together, so we are rather looking at going Virtual in 2021. This also means that all BAC members are encouraged to enter, more information will be communicated early in 2021. We also realize that our members did not get much value for their membership fee in 2020.
